My grandmother&#039;s recipe is on the site you checked (thanks) that calls for a little cider vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and sits in the frig for  a few hours or days. But this recipe sounds gorgeous for summer and I plan to try this right now. Okay- maybe tomorrow. I&#039;m building (solo) a community garden 12 miles away, and that&#039;s where all my basil is.
